Finally, a proper look at MTV’s newest drama. After several short teasers, MTV has released the first full trailer for its upcoming cyberstalking thriller “Eye Candy.” The series stars Victoria Justice as Lindy Simpson, a young hacker from Chicago living in New York City who uses her gift to make connections and find clues online to help the citizens of NYC. When Lndy stumbles onto a serial killer who terrorizes victims with text and online messages before they disappear, the young hacker decides to take on the case herself.  NowRead More
Victoria Justice has found herself a crime-solving partner and potential love interest in Nico Tortorella, as Deadline reports the “Scream 4” alum is joining MTV’s cyber thriller pilot “Eye Candy.” In the Blumhouse thriller pilot to be directed by “Twilight” launcher Catherine Hardwicke, Justice will play Lindy, now described as a “reclusive hacker” (on MTV, all computer geeks look like Victoria Justice. See: “Catfish”). Exposing all kinds of dangerous secrets on her blog, she soon attracts the wrong kind of attention and things turn deadly. Consequently, she teams up withRead More
In what seems like the perfect natural progression, former tween star Victoria Justice is graduating from Nickelodeon to MTV. Variety reports Justice has signed on to star in a new cyber thriller pilot called “Eye Candy,” marking her first project since the end of her much more kid-friendly Nick series “Victorious.” The Blumhouse TV thriller series will follow Justice’s Lindy, who’s talked into online dating by her friends but who quickly attracts some unwanted attention from an unknown suitor, and “when things take a deadly turn, she teams up withRead More
Here’s the first trailer for a Sundance movie that we really enjoyed. Jonathan Kasdan’s “The First Time” is a romantic comedy about a couple of high schoolers who meet at a party and spend the weekend getting to know each other and fall in love, for the first time. TV stars Britt Robertson and Dylan O’Brien play the would-be couple, while Victoria Justice and James Frecheville play the other potential romantic partners in their lives. Our own Rebecca Lewis opines that O’Brien is the revelation amongst the cast, “infusing anRead More
TV teen superstar Victoria Justice gets her first major leading film role and today we have our first look at her in action in the first trailer for Josh Schwartz’s feature directorial debut, “Fun Size.” The Halloween comedy sees Justice’s Ren ready to party but sacked with watching her little brother instead, much to the annoyance of her more outrageous best friend, played by Jane Levy (who proves she’s got some scene-stealing potential in her). When little bro is lost, they enlist the help of a nerdy classmate (Thomas Mann)Read More
Before the screening of “The First Time” began this past week at Cannes, we were advised that we were about to watch an uncut version of the film. The opening scene, which is a sprawling conversation between our two leads as they discuss everything from their love interests and bad friends, to school teachers and music, had been deemed as too long for audiences. This is a shame, as that opening shot nicely sets up the close connection between Aubrey and Dave, played by Britt Robertson and Dylan O’Brien. SetRead More

One Sundance-bound film that was an immediate standout to us when the full list of competition films was unveiled earlier this afternoon was Jonathan Kasdan’s “The First Time”, a romantic comedy about a couple of high schoolers who meet at a party and spend the weekend getting to know each other and fall in love, for the first time. Lucky for us, the film is also one of the first to reveal still images of scenes, which you can now see below. “The Secret Circle” star Britt Robertson and “TeenRead More
