One of our favourite comedic actors working with Disney? This should be interesting.

Seth Rogen is reportedly in talks to star in “The B Team”, which centres on “a top secret agent being kidnapped, leaving his tech support team and researchers to rescue him.”

The film was picked up by Disney three years ago, from a script by Derek Guiley and David Schneiderman. Rogen will be producing the film and it is now set to enter development.

Rogen is coming off a whirlwind few years, with a standout performance in this year’s “50/50″. In 2012, Rogen only has one film – “My Mother’s Curse” co-starring TV actress Yvonne Strahovski – ready for upcoming release, but he will also be hosting the Film Independent Spirit Awards in February and hopefully be entering production on the the long-awaited The Apocalypse, starring old friends Jay Baruchel, Danny McBride and James Franco.

“Chuck” star Yvonne Strahovski lands female lead in “I, Frankenstein” opposite Aaron Eckhart

Cult favorite NBC series “Chuck” is wrapping up its final season, and it looks like its female star is firming up a promising film career for life after the show. THR reports Yvonne Strahovski has landed the lead role in revisionist sci-fi thriller “I, Frankenstein”, starring Aaron Eckhart in the title role. Along with Strahovski and Eckhart, Miranda Otto of “Lord of the Rings” fame, Bill Nighy and Socratis Otto are also in negotiations for roles.

Very loosely based on the Mary Shelley classic and more directly based on the comic book of the same name by Kevin Grevioux, the story follows Frankenstein’s monster as he vacillates between humanity and the monster within while fending off an army of demons who want to learn the secrets of his reanimation to create an undead army. Strahovski plays a beautiful scientist held against her will by the demons to help them towards their goal. Nighy and Socratis Otto will be the leader of the demons while Miranda Otto is the queen of the gargoyles who want to aid Frankenstein. Yup, there’s gargoyles in here too. Stuart Beattie will direct the film over the winter in Australia, aiming for a February 22, 2013 release.

Ausie Strahovski broke out as the beautiful secret agent Sarah on NBC’s fledgling action comedy caper “Chuck”, which has been saved time and again by its die-hard fans, but will finally end after this season. She was recently seen in actioner “The Killer Elite” opposite Jason Statham and Robert DeNiro and has wrapped comedy “My Mother’s Curse” opposite Seth Rogen and Barbara Streisand.

TV star Yvonne Strahovski is making a leap for the big screen, joining the cast of “My Mother’s Curse”, the mother-son roadtrip comedy starring Barbara Streisand and Seth Rogen, reports THR.

Anne Fletcher directs from a script by Dan Fogelman, which he based on his own experiences of traveling with his mother. Rogen plays an inventor who invites his mother on the road with him as he goes cross country trying to sell his new product, while hoping to reunite her with a lost love. Strahovski plays Rogen’s high school sweetheart, whom he once proposed to.

Seth Rogen is hitting the road with legendary actress/singer Barbara Streisand, playing her son in the long-gestating “My Mother’s Curse”, which will finally start shooting this spring, according to THR. The film follows an inventor (Rogen) who invites his mother (Streisand) along as he travels across country to sell his products and attempt to reunite her with a lost love. Both Streisand and Rogen have been attached to star since last summer but the project was not officially greenlit by Paramount until now.

“The Proposal” director Anne Fletcher will helm the film from a script by Dan Fogelman, based on his own experience traveling with his mother. Lorne Michaels, John Goldwyn and Evan Goldberg are producing. Rogen, Streisand and Fogelman will executive produce with David Ellison, whose Skydance will co-finance the pic.

Rogen, who broke out in Judd Apatow’s smash hit comedies such as “The 40 Year Old Virgin” and “Knocked Up”, can currently be seen in theaters as “The Green Hornet” and has indie dramedy “Take this Waltz” opposite Michelle Williams and the cancer comedy formerly known as “Live With It” both still awaiting 2011 release dates.
