“The Hangover”‘s Mr. Chow, Ken Jeong has signed on to star and produce “The Chung Factor”, reports The Wrap.
In “The Chung Factor”, “a nice guy meets the girl of his dreams after being unlucky in love. But because he’s afraid of screwing up the relationship, he takes advice from an offbeat relationship coach, played by Jeong. As it turns out, the coach is actually the woman’s ex-boyfriend and is out to sabotage the relationship and win her back.” The script was on the 2005 Black List, a compilation which notes the top screenplays of the year that have yet to be produced.
Jeong is one of the most diverse comics in Hollywood right now, and after breaking out in “The Hangover” – 2009′s hit comedy film playing a flamboyant gangster – he has found further fame on the NBC comedy show “Community”, with further solid performances in comedy films such as “Despicable Me” and “Zookeeper”, as well as action film “Transformers: Dark of the Moon”. Next up, Jeong will be voicing another animation film, “Norm of the North” for Lionsgate alongside “Diary of a Wimpy Kind”‘s Zachary Gordon.
