Justin Long, Jess Weixler, Tyler Labine and Addison Timlin lead the cast of indie dramedy“Lumpy”, Deadline reports. Supporting cast also includes Michael Landis, Evan Jones and Shelley Long.
Ted Koland wrote the script and will make his feature directorial debut on the project, about a bride and groom (Weixler and Long), whose life-of-the-party best friend/best man Lumpy (Labine) dies at their wedding reception. When they cancel their honeymoon to return home for funeral preparations, they slowly discover Lumpy wasn’t who they thought he was. The film is currently prepping to begin shooting in Minnesota.
Long, a staple supporting character in the frat pack Will Ferrell-Vince Vaughn comedies, was last seen in rom-com “Going the Distance” opposite Drew Barrymore and recently wrapped ensemble “Ten Year”. Indie actress Weixler recently wrapped dramedy “Free Samples” opposite Jesse Eisenberg. Labine has a role in the upcoming “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” while Timlin broke out on the current season of “Californication” and landed the coveted female lead in “Odd Thomas” opposite Anton Yelchin.
