It’s Dumb vs Dumber with a dash of Ricky Bobby in the first trailer for political comedy “The Campaign”, which sees Will Ferrell doing his best John Edwards as a 4th term Congressman who’s skated through re-election without ever facing an opponent. Enter Zach Galifianakis, perhaps even more hapless and clueless than the veteran politician, armed with nothing but a dream of running for office. Some predictable albeit funny shenanigans follow as the opponents try to out-campaign each other, somehow culminating with a baby getting punched rather than kissed.

Timely scheduled during a Presidential election year, Jay Roach’s “The Campaign” will be released on August 10th. Watch the first trailer below.
