Actress and Television Host Olivia Munn is in negotiations to join “Magic Mike”, according to Deadline. The film already has a talented cast consisting of Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello and Matthew McConaughey.
The film is inspired by Tatum’s experiences as a male stripper and will be directed by Academy Award-Winning Director Steven Soderbergh. Munn would play Tatum’s love interest, Amber.
According to EW, production is slated to start at the end of the month and be released in theaters in 2012.
Munn, who’s most known for her work on “Attack of the Show!” as well as a few various TV roles, can be seen in the upcoming film “Freeloaders” with Jane Seymour and “I Don’t Know How She Does It” with Sarah Jessica Parker and Pierce Brosnan, which will be released in theaters on September 16.

“Mad Men” star Christina Hendricks will be taking full advantage of her hiatus from the show to focus on her movie career. Currently filming “I Don’t Know How She Does It” opposite Sarah Jessica Parker, Hendricks will also join the cast of “Seconds of Pleasure”, Deadline reports today. Hendricks will play the wife of Brendan Fraser, in the drama told in vignettes which connect different passengers on a plane, who catches him in a compromising position. Matt Dillon, Julia Stiles and Kristen Scott Thomas are also part of the ensemble cast.
Mike Figgis directs from a script by Neil Labute, with production set to begin this summer in the UK.
Previously primarily a TV actress, Hendricks has been making a foray into features in recent months during her vacations from playing voluptuous office manager Joan Holloway, with a part in the Katherine Heigl-Josh Duhamel romantic comedy “Life As We Know It” and recently completing a supporting role in Nicolas Winding Refn’s “Drive” starring Ryan Gosling and Carey Mulligan.

Last month we reported that Christina Hendricks, Seth Meyers, and Olivia Munn would be joining Sarah Jessica Parker in “I Don’t Know How She Does It,” a film based on the novel by Brit author Allison Pearson. While Hendricks, Meyers, and Parker are undoubtedly familiar names, Munn is still a relatively unknown face on the screen despite the fact that she’s dabbled in acting, tv hosting, writing, and modeling. In December 2010, it was announced that she would be replaced by Candace Bailey on “Attack of the Show,” but 2011 might just prove to be a rising year for Munn, as she’s off to a great start being featured on the February 2011 cover of Maxim and starring alongside tv-veteran Parker in “I Don’t Know How She Does It.”
There’s no release date for the film as of yet, but today marked the first day of filming on Wall Street in New York City. Courtesy of Just Jared, below you can check out some on-set pictures from the first day of filming.

Christina Hendricks, Olivia Munn and Seth Meyers have signed on to star with Sarah Jessica Parker in “I Don’t Know How She Does It”, based on the British literary sensation by Allison Pearson, reports 24 Frames. In the same vein of Bridget Jones’ knack for appealing to audiences, Person’s first person comedy centers around a Wall Street executive (to be played by Parker), who juggles a demanding career with two children and a husband who makes less money than she does.
The trio of newly-cast actors have made names for themselves on the small screen but have yet to prove their big screen capabilities. Hendricks, most known for her role as voluptuous secretary Joan on “Mad Men”, will play a friend of Parker’s character. Munn, a host on G4′s “Attack of the Show”, will play a colleague. No word on who “Saturday Night Live” head writer and Weekend Update anchor Meyers will play. Pierce Brosnan and Kelsey Grammer have also finalized deals to join the cast.
Filming is set to begin in January under the direction of Doug McGrath.
