“Hannibal” is bringing a new character from the novels to the small screen. The NBC drama, starring Hugh Dancy as Will Graham and Mads Mikkelsen as the cannibal himself, has cast Tao Okamoto as its Lady Murasaki, according to Deadline. The character is described as a beautiful woman harboring a dark secret, and makes her appearance in Thomas Harris’ 2006 prequel novel “Hannibal Rising.” In the novel, Lady Murasaki was Hannibal Lecter’s Japanese aunt who he lives with for some time. TV RECAP: It’s a Face-Off on ‘Hannibal’

“Tome-wan” is “Hannibal’s” penultimate episode of the season, so things are heating up as we head towards the flash forward which opened episode one. The episode opens in Hannibal’s (Mads Mikkelsen) office, where he and Will (Hugh Dancy) are discussing the demise Mason Verger (Michael Pitt) so deserves. Hannibal tries to play Will, asking if he’d join him in bringing Mason down, but Will deflects, suggesting Hannibal kill Mason at his next appointment. Following this chat, where you’re not sure who’ll kill who, when, or how, Will imagines how he’dRead More

Freddie Lounds (Lara Jean Chorostecki) is back, alive and well, but more importantly, we return finally to the scene that opened “Hannibal”‘s second season, in the first stills released from the finale episode, titled “Mizumono.” We have one more episode before we get to the bloody knife fight between Hannibal (Mads Mikkelsen) and Jack (Laurence Fishburne), but the events of the last episode certainly set the stage for Hannibal to finally be confronted about his crimes. Be warned, it looks like the official synopsis below may spoil some events thatRead More
'Hannibal' Episode 2.11 'Ko No Mono'
“Kō No Mono” is the tenth episode in “Hannibal’s” second season, and maybe it’s the excitement of the news that “Hannibal” finally got renewed, but this did feel like one of the season’s better episodes, if not only for the fact that the focus was more on characters rather than a case of the week. The episode begins with one of the show’s weirdest openers to date: The Wendigo approaching the Ravenstag, which lies in a pool of blood in the forest. The Wendigo looks on as the Ravenstag givesRead More

Will (Hugh Dancy) and Alana (Caroline Dhavernas) will finally share a moment of peace following episodes of being at odds, judging by these new stills released from this week’s all new “Hannibal” episode, titled “Ko No Mono.” Of course, Alana’s still tight with Dr. Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) too, so this is one twisted triangle that’s not untangling anytime soon. Meanwhile, Michael Pitt as Mason Verger is still hanging around, as creepy and menacing as ever. “Hannibal” airs every Friday night at 10pm on NBC. Jack and his team discover theRead More
