Joshua Close and Joey King have joined the cast of FX’s limited series “Fargo,” according to Deadline. The drama will also star Martin Freeman, Billy Bob Thornton, Colin Hanks, Kate Walsh, Bob Odenkirk and Glenn Howerton.
Inspired by their 1996 film, Joel and Ethan Coen are executive producing the 10-episode series with an all-new story and characters. It centers on Lester Nygaard (Freeman), a small-town insurance salesman whose life changes when a mysterious stranger (Thornton) comes to town. Close will play Ron, the brother of Freeman’s Lester Nygaard. King will play Greta, the daughter of Hank’s Police Deputy Gus Grimly, a single dad who must choose between duty and his family’s safety after he comes face-to-face with a killer.
Close recently wrapped “Kill the Messenger” opposite Jeremy Renner, his co-star from series “The Unusuals.” While King, despite only being in her early teens, has quite a lengthy resume. She is best known for starring in “White House Down” and “The Conjuring,” but will next be seen in Zach Braff’s Kickstarter-funded film, “Wish I Was Here.”

FOX’s “The Mindy Project” is well known for having stellar comedic guest-stars, and SNL veteran Vanessa Bayer, most recognized for her “Miley Cyrus” comedy skits, is about to join the roster.
According to TVLine, Bayer’s character will play a potential love interest to the newly single Danny Castellano, played by Chris Messina. No further details about her character have been released, but could this mean “The Getting Over It Gang” is losing a member?
The sophomore season of the comedy is expecting even more guest-stars to show off their comedic chops: Glenn Howerton (“It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia”), Ben Feldman (“Mad Men”) and the show’s creator Mindy Kaling’s very own celebrity crush, Timothy Olyphant (“Justified”) are also scheduled to appear.

Adrianne Palicki is moving to “Coffee Town.” Variety reports the “Friday Night Lights” actress and almost Wonder Woman has landed the female lead in CollegeHumor’s first foray into feature films and will join a cast that already includes Glenn Howerton, Ben Schwartz, Steve Little and Josh Groban in the workplace comedy.
Brad Copeland wrote and will make his feature directorial debut on the film, which follows three friends “who band together when their freeloading existence is threatened.” Palicki plays Howerton’s love interest, a coffee-loving nurse. Filming is set to begin this week in Los Angeles.
Palicki won audiences’ hearts as troubled hometown girl Tyra on critically acclaimed NBC series “Friday Night Lights”, which is churning out some potential movie stars in the likes of Taylor Kitsch and Kyle Chandler. Palicki, though, seemed to have some trouble finding her breakout role, though movies like “Legion” and the titular role on a reboot “Wonder Woman” series had potential. She recently completed the female lead of Lady Jaye in “G.I. Joe: Retaliation”, out this summer, so here’s hoping this one will stick.
