TV Recap: Everyone’s Got Plans on ‘The 100’

Last week was all about Clarke, so this week “The 100” gave Eliza Taylor a break and checked in on Arkadia, where things are going to hell fast. Jasper (Devon Bostick) continues to struggle with life which turns out to be great news for Jaha (Isaiah Washington) and Raven (Lindsey Morgan) who need to recruit more people to The City of Light. With Arkadia running out of supplies and having to ration everying – booze included – figuring out Monty’s (Christopher Larkin) password actually ends up being a good distractionRead More

TV Recap: The Search for Clarke Continues on ‘The 100’

Last week on “The 100” we were left wondering who had stopped Team Kane’s rescue mission. Bellamy (Bob Morley) is voted on to check it out first because yes, Kane (Henry Ian Cusick), make the children find out if something is dangerous! But: surprise! It’s their own people anyway. Monty’s mom is among the group along with Charles Pike (Michael Beach), a former teacher on the Ark. The newbies are given a run-down on the current situations and they all decide to continue the search North for Clarke (Eliza Taylor).Read More

And we’re back! After an (unnecessarily) excruciatingly long hiatus, “The 100” has returned to us and one of the first scenes we’re gifted with is Lincoln (Ricky Whittle) and Bellamy (Bob Morley) sparring shirtless because the writers know what we want #blessed. Three months has left the Skypeople in very different places. Kane (Henry Ian Cusick) is still not Chancellor, but sure acts like it; Raven’s (Lindsey Morgan) injury is causing her even more pain; Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos) is still unsure about living with the Skypeople while Lincoln’s resolve isRead More

Up&Comers Spotlight: The Cast of ‘The 100’

Up&Comers Spotlight is a new recurring feature that highlights great performances by rising stars in both television and film.  Beware of spoilers. It’s been about a week since “The 100” aired its season finale and I just cannot stop thinking about it. A magnificent end to a great season. In addition, today is the one year anniversary of the series premiere. Basically, I have “The 100” on the brain, so I decided to highlight the cast in the first Up&Comers Spotlight. The series has several things going for it, includingRead More

The CW’s “The 100” is one of the most compelling new shows of the season and today at WonderCon we had the opportunity to sit down with some of the cast members and showrunner Jason Rothenberg to talk over a wide variety of topics. Up first is actor Bob Morley (shocking us with his Australian accent), who plays Bellamy on the show, one of the more dark and complex characters who seems to look out only for himself with his own ulterior motives for keeping the safe atmosphere of theRead More
'The 100' Episode 1.05 'Twilight's Last Gleaming'
Are you all watching “The 100”? I hope so. It’s hard to believe some of the things the show gets away with, but that’s what makes it so addictive, isn’t it? Episode 1.05, titled “Twilight’s Last Gleaming,” will probably be just as action-packed and shocking as the first four that have aired so far, but these new stills don’t really give away much. Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and Finn (Thomas McDonnell) finally let the sexual tension boil over – just in time for his Ark girlfriend Raven (Lindsey Morgan) to crashRead More
the-100-review
In my review of one of The CW’s new offerings this mid-season, “Star-Crossed,” I mentioned the idea that the network itself has more intriguing shows to offer to potential audiences, and “The 100,” the other new show premiering on the network in 2014, certainly falls under that category. Action-packed from the very first minute of the pilot, “The 100” is dark, twisted and not afraid to take the teen-friendly network to places it rarely ventures, resulting in an exciting and addictive new show for us to obsess over. The show’sRead More

Next week, one of our favorite new shows of the year so far premieres. “The 100,” based on the young adult novel by Kass Morgan, will take The CW to dark and twisted places as a bunch of juvenile delinquents are set free on a post-apocalyptic Earth. The line is quickly drawn between those who wish to remain lawful and those who immediately choose lawlessness, and a core group, led by Eliza Taylor‘s Clarke, navigates the dangers surrounding them, from a potentially toxic planet to each other. Newcomer Christopher LarkinRead More

The CW has really been stepping it up lately in terms of offering up shows that go beyond the “teen soap” genre (though there’s plenty of that to go around as well, not that there’s anything wrong with that). One example is the next new drama getting set to premiere next month. It’s called “The 100” (The Hundred, not The One Hundred) and having seen the first four episodes, we can tell you that it is exciting, dark, twisted and totally addictive. It’s based on the book of the sameRead More
