The latest Marvel superhero has arrived and the studio has released the first trailer for “Ant-Man,” featuring Paul Rudd as a very, very tiny badass. The footage sets up our newest hero and probably eventual Avenger’s backstory. Rudd is Scott Lang, a petty thief who’s been locked up a lot, who’s recruited by Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) in order to pull off one last heist before changing his way and becoming a good guy. He battles Yellowjacket (Corey Stoll), with a little assistance from Hank’s beautiful daughter Hope (Evangeline Lilly)

Marvel’s latest superhero film began filming yesterday, and today the first official image from “Ant-Man” has been released, featuring Paul Rudd as his Scott Lang alter-ego. Rudd is seen rather roughed up, wearing a dark hoodie and jacket and gloves, perhaps heading into or coming out of a heist. Scott Lang eventually becomes the Marvel superhero and eventual Avengers team member Ant-Man, but in this movie, the first person to wear that moniker – as in the comics – will be scientist Hank Pym. He will be played by Michael

The newest member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is “House of Cards” alum Corey Stoll, according to The Wrap, who report the actor is negotiating to join the cast of Edgar Wright’s “Ant-Man.” Paul Rudd has the lead role in the film as Scott Lang, the man who would become the Marvel superhero Ant-Man, with Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, the first guy to wear the moniker. Though his first self-test goes awry, he develops an instrument that helps him communicate with and control insects.” Just as all superhero stories go, he decides to use

Another superhero movie just about finishes casting up, with Variety reporting “Lost” actress Evangeline Lilly is now in early talks to take the female lead role in Marvel’s “Ant-Man” opposite Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas. Edgar Wright is directing the comedically-tinged film which will probably see both Douglas and Rudd as Ant-Man, with Douglas as Hank Pym, the original scientist who shrunk down and developed superpowers, and Rudd as Scott Lang, the more mischievous thief who takes the suit from Pym years later. No one knows the precise role Lilly

Another hotly contested role has been settled, with The Wrap reporting Paul Rudd has landed and is now in early talks to play “Ant-Man” for Marvel and director Edgar Wright. Rudd emerged as a frontrunner for the role alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt back in October, but with Gordon-Levitt recently committing to “Sandman” over at Warner Bros, it seemed like a matter of time before Rudd was given the official offer. Now Rudd is one step closer to becoming the scientist who invents a serum that allows him to shrink down to

Marvel is not done courting Joseph Gordon-Levitt yet. After failing to lock him down for “Guardians of the Galaxy,” the studio is yet again eyeing the actor for another of their Cinematic Universe heroes, this time Hank Pym, aka the titular “Ant-Man.” Variety reports Gordon-Levitt is now one of two frontrunners for the role, next to Paul Rudd. “Ant-Man,” to be directed by Edgar Wright, has been the Marvel Studios project that’s been in the works for the longest with the littlest progress being made, but it looks like things
