‘Flatliners’ Remake Adds James Norton

James Norton is headed to medical school.

The British actor is the latest addition to “Flatliners.” According to The Hollywood Reporter Norton will play medical student Jamie in the upcoming sci-fi thriller remake.

“Flatliners” centers on a group of medical students who stumble upon a a risky area of study. They begin performing near-death experiments in an effort to explore the afterlife. Experiments the students discover have serious consequences.

This is a remake of 1990 film of the same name. It starred Kevin Bacon, Julia Roberts and Kiefer Sutherland.

Neila Arden Oplev will direct the film, which was written by Ben Ripley. Michael Douglas and Laurence Mark will produce.

Nina Dobrev, Diego Luna and Ellen Page are the actors already attached to the thriller.

The British actor is known for his roles on television series “Happy Valley” and “Grantchester” as well as miniseries “War & Peace.” His film credits include “Rush” and “Belle.”
