An upcoming Holocaust drama may have found its star. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Daisy Ridley is in talks for the lead role in “The Lost Wife.”
Based on Alyson Richman’s novel, “The Lost Wife” tells a love story that endures time and distance. Lenka, an art student, falls for her best friend’s brother Josef, but their romance is cut short when the Nazis invade Prague. After decades apart, the two reconnect and have to discover whether their love can endure.
Marc Forster will direct the film Robbie Brenner is producing.
Ridley is current enjoying the success of her first appearance as Rey in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” The actress is currently filming “Star Wars: Episode VIII” and has recently book a leading role in “Kolma.”
