Sarah Gadon is on fire! On the heels of wrapping up filming the upcoming “The Ninth Life Of Louis Drax” the actress has nabbed roles in Hulu miniseries “11/22/63” and the film “Indignation” according to Deadline.
“11/23/63” is a nine episode miniseries headed for Hulu. Based on Stephen King’s 2011 novel it follows English teacher Jake Eppin (Franco) as he falls through a time portal and ends up in 9/9/1958. He attempts to changed history by saving John F. Kennedy, but love and Lee Harvey Oswald are among the obstacles in his way. Gadon will play Sadie, the outspoken librarian at the school where Jake teaches.
The other project is James Schamus’ directorial debut “Indignation,” which is based on the Philip Roth novel. Set in 1951 the film centers on Marcus (Lerman), a young man from Newark dealing with issues ranging from antisemitism to the Korean War while going to a Lutheran college in the Midwest. That’s where he meets his classmate Olivia (Gadon), a young girl with a difficult past that includes a suicide attempt and stint in a mental institution. The very independent and somewhat promiscuous young girl goes on a date with Marcus and is drawn to him.
Gadon’s credits include “What If,” “Belle” and “Dracula Untold.” She will soon be seen in both “A Royal Night” and “The Girl King,” in addition to “The Ninth Life Of Louis Drax.”
