Actor Chadwick Boseman (“42”, “Get On Up”) has officially been revealed as the star of Marvel’s “Black Panther” as part of the company’s big announcement today. The film was described by Kevin Feige as “about how this isolationist country of Wakanda needs to meet the world.” A release date of November 3, 2017 for the film was also announced, along with dates and titles for Marvel’s upcoming slated projects.

“Captain America: Civil War” is set for May 6, 2016. “Doctor Strange”, which made news yesterday with the notion that actor Benedict Cumberbatch was the top choice for the role, will premiere November 4, 2016.

“Guardians of the Galaxy 2” has a new release date of May 5, 2017 and will be followed by “Thor: Ragnarok” on July 28, 2017. Avengers is set to be broken in two parts, with “Avengers: Infinity War – Part I” set for May 4, 2018 and “Part II” the following year May 3, 2019. Between them will be eagerly anticipated “Captain Marvel” featuring character Carol Danvers on July 6, 2018 and “The Inhumans” on November 2, 2018.
