Tom Hiddleston is headed back to the small screen, joining Hugh Laurie to star in John Le Carre spy thriller adaptation “The Night Manager,” according to THR.
Published in 1993,”The Night Manager” follows Jonathan Pine, a former British soldier now working at a luxurious hotel as a night auditor. Pine meets a French-Arab woman named Sophie with ties an English black marketer who specializes in weapons. Sophie provides Pine with incriminating documents, and ends up dead for her troubles. Pine then works with intelligence operatives and goes undercover as part of a sting to avenge Sophie’s death.
Most known for his role as Loki in the “Thor” and “Avengers” movies, Hiddleston was most recently seen in Jim Jarmusch’s “Only Lovers Left Alive” and next has Hank Williams biopic “I Saw the Light” as well as Ben Wheatley’s “High-Rise” on the way. He was also recently set for the lead role in King Kong prequel “Skull Island.”
