Alexa Davalos has been cast in the lead role in “The Man In The High Castle,” one of the pilots in Amazon’s fourth pilot season, according to Deadline. She joins Luke Kleintank, who recently landed the male lead on the pilot.

The show is based on Philip K. Dick’s novel of the same name, which tells a story set in a world i which Germany and Japan won World War II. In this alternate America, Nazi Germany has control of the East Coast and the West is in the hands of the Japanese. The only place unclaimed is the Midwest, which could go to either the Japanese or the Nazis.

Davalos plays Julianna, a girl living in San Francisco who likes and immerses herself in Japanese culture. She is content with her life under Japanese control until a Japanese soldier shoots her half-sister dead right in front of her. When Julianna is given a vital item from her sibling for the Resistance, Julianna’s life takes an unexpected turn and she goes on a journey to find the Resistance.

Davalos has been in films including “The Chronicles of Riddick” and “Clash of The Titans.” Most recently she had a series regular role on the short-lived TNT drama “Mob City.”
