With TIFF in full swing, Anna Kendrick‘s “The Last 5 Years” landed the film festival’s first major distribution deal with North American distributor Radius, Variety reports.
Based on the musical by Jason Robert Brown, the film also stars Jeremy Jordan, who’s well-versed in Broadway acting and musical performances. This musical comedy-drama explores the breakdown of a marriage from two perspectives: an up-and-coming writer and his struggling, not-so-succesful actress wife. Radius is planning a Valentine’s Day 2015 release for the film in the U.S.
Directed and written by Richard LaGravenese, the film is scheduled for its world debut this coming Sunday (September 7) at the Ryerson Theater in Toronto.
