After years of unexplained delays, the long-awaited third teamup of Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper is about to see the light of day. “Serena,” directed by Susanne Bier and based on the novel by Ron Rash, was announced today as one of the films screening at the BFI London Film Festival in October.
Other high profile galas and screenings at the festival including “The Imitation Game,” starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Keira Knightley, which will open the festival, and David Ayer’s “Fury,” starring Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf and Logan Lerman, which will close it.
The festival will also see the premiere of WWI drama “A Testament of Youth” starring Alicia Vikander and Kit Harington, as well as new screenings of Sundance hit “Whiplash” starring Miles Teller, “White Bird in a Blizzard” starring Shailene Woodley, “71” starring Jack O’Connell and “Madame Bovary” starring Mia Wasikowska.
