“Game of Thrones” actress Rose Leslie has landed the female lead role in supernatural thriller “The Last Witch Hunter” opposite Vin Diesel, reports THR.

The Breck Eisner-directed film is set to begin shooting in August and follows a “semi-immortal witch hunter (Diesel) wandering the streets of modern New York City forced to partner with his natural enemy, a female witch (Leslie). The two must stop a villainous witch queen from obtaining a relic and unleashing plague upon humanity.”

Scottish actress Leslie played Gwen Dawson on ITV’s “Downton Abbey” before landing the breakout role of Ygritte, who romanced Kit Harington’s Jon Snow on HBO’s “Game of Thrones.” On the big screen, she appeared in “Now Is Good” opposite Dakota Fanning and Jeremy Irvine, and recently completed indie “Sticky Notes” opposite Justin Bartha and Gina Rodriguez.
