The fourth installment of the “Jurassic Park” franchise titled “Jurassic World” won’t actually open in theaters until next June, but “The Today Show” has gone behind-the-scenes to visit the set and interview the cast. Is it ham-fisted and cheesy? Of course it is, it’s the Today Show! However there is some new footage to offer a glimpse into the world of those troublesome dino’s, and if you don’t watch it you’re not a real fan and that knowledge can and will haunt you forever. There’s also some shameless pandering to audiences via flashing a picture of Pratt’s abs, but honestly, both women and men alike will be falling all over themselves for him on the big screen.
We also get a quote from director Colin Trevorrow on taking the reigns from the original “Jurassic Park” director Steven Spielberg. Apparently Spielberg would send Trevorrow daily support, ideas and “words of wisdom.” As for the plot itself, Pratt offers this for a summary:
“Where we’re shooting right now is Jurassic World. People from around the world — 20,000 visitors a day — come to see the dinosaurs and see several attractions. It’s been around long enough where attendance has started to fall off a little bit, so they’ve decided to come up with a new attraction to bring even more people in. And you’re never going to believe it, but it doesn’t go well.”
