Just a week before it heads to Cannes, new clips from David Cronenberg‘s Hollywood satire “Maps to the Stars” starring Robert Pattinson, Mia Wasikowska and Evan Bird have debuted.
“Maps to the Stars” centers on the fame-obsessed celebrity culture and follows an ensemble of personalities that include Jerome Fontana (Pattinson), a limo driver/aspiring actor; Agatha Weiss (Wasikowska), a pyromaniac who was recently released from a sanatorium; Benjie (Bird), Agatha’s child star brother who just completed a stint in rehab; and Havana Segrand (Julianne Moore), a desperate actress who dreams of taking over the role that made her mother famous in the ’60s.
The first clip features Agatha introducing Jerome to Havana, a woman that he will later be intimately involved with as seen in the film’s trailer and teased in the second clip below. Afterwards, you’ll find a third clip with Benjie discussing future plans with his parents, played by John Cusack and Olivia Williams. The clips don’t give anything away that could be considered under spoiler territory, but it should keep you hyped in anticipation of the film’s debut at Cannes, which runs from May 14-25.
