We are so close to an official announcement on “Star Wars: Episode VII” casting, we can all basically feel it in the air at this point. But before it’s made officially official, the trades are all out in force to toss out a final rumor or two that may or may not be substantiated in the end. The biggest revelation today, via Deadline, The Wrap and THR, is that Oscar Isaac may be among the names called when the announcement is made.

Both THR and The Wrap reporters mention Isaac had been bandied about earlier and was actually in negotiations for “a major role,” but things cooled down when it seemed like he might have a scheduling conflict. No one is sure whether that was worked out, but if you’re Isaac’s agent, you’re probably not allowed to even take a nap until it is. John Boyega, a name that’s been mentioned more than once before, is suddenly popping up again, as now he’s apparently also dropped out of a biopic on Jesse Owens (in addition to not taking a role in “Terminator: Genesis”) which seems to point again towards him having secured one of the coveted “Episode VII” spots. And Adam Driver is mentioned again, but we’re pretty sure he’s already in.

May 4th is only a few days away… Just saying.
