We are still a couple weeks away from “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” opening (but is there any question it’ll be a hit?) and Marvel are already moving ahead on the third installment of the Chris Evans-led franchise.

Marvel and Disney have long staked a claim to the May 6, 2016 release date, and today THR reports it is indeed the even further adventures of Cap and his S.H.I.E.L.D. friends who will be battling bad guys then.

The date is significant, of course, because Warner Bros and DC recently moved their own highly anticipated “Batman vs Superman” team-up flick onto it. Despite some rumors that they have moved off of it by a week, at this point, officially speaking, we are looking at one hell of a head-to-head competition. The eternal question of Marvel or DC may just finally be answered – if no one blinks first.
