Here is a new 4 minute long preview for “Captain America: The Winter Solder,” which begins with a 3 minute long clip of one of the opening scenes of the film – so it’s a nice long insight into the look, feel and pacing of the film. Chris Evans springs into action – jumping out of a plane without a parachute, that showoff – while Scarlett Johansson takes multi-tasking to a new level, kicking bad-guy ass while nagging him about his love life simultaneously.

Right off the bat, we can see Marvel’s signature light-hearted, humorous approach to the comic book movie genre is in full effect, and also interesting is that Frank Grillo is seen here alongside the good guys – so he doesn’t turn into the villain Crossbones until later on. The clip has Cap staging a rescue of a cargo ship that’s been taken by bad guys, while the montage-style promo clips that follow the extended scene feature tons of great new footage as well, including plenty of shots of Anthony Mackie as Falcon, Sebastian Stan as the titular Winter Soldier and is that Hayley Atwell’s British lilt giving us a Peggy Carter voice-over?

“Captain America: The Winter Soldier” will release on April 4th.
