AMC has been able to produce a slew of high quality drama shows in the last few years, “The Walking Dead,” “Breaking Bad,” and “Mad Men,” to name a few, have all done extremely well for the network. They’ve enlisted a new drama called “Turn” to keep up the momentum, and Deadline reports that actress Idara Victor has snagged a role on the upcoming Revolutionary War series.
Revolving around a New York farmer named Abe Woodhull, (Jamie Bell), “Turn” tells the story of a group of childhood friends who band together to form the Culper Ring, America’s first group of spies. Based on Alexander Rose’s book “Washington Spies,” the group aids Continental Army leader George Washington change history in the nation’s first foray into espionage. Idara will play Abigail, a young woman who was sold into the Strong household at 13 and grew up with the youngest daughter, Anna Strong (Heather Lind), who considered her as both a confidante and housemaid. The series is set to premiere April 6th.
Idara Victor may be an unknown name, but she’s had appearances on many well known shows like “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Vegas,” “Private Practice,” and AMC’s own “Mad Men.”
