TV: ‘House of Cards’ Star Rachel Brosnahan Joins WGN America Drama Series ‘Manhattan’

rachel-brosnahan She helped Kevin Spacey destroy Corey Stoll, and now “House of Cards” star Rachel Brosnahan is moving onto an eve more volatile environment. Deadline reports Rosnahan has been cast in a series regular role on WGN America’s new 13 episode drama series “Manhattan,” set in the 1940s and following the scientists tasked with making the world’s first atomic bomb. Brosnahan will play the wife of one of the scientists (Ashley Zukerman).

Brosnahan, who plays the call girl getting increasingly embroiled in the high stakes politics of DC’s most powerful men on Netflix’s Emmy-wnning “House of Cards,” will be reprising her role for season 2. She has also appeared on Netflix’s “Orange is the New Black” and has done guest stints on “Grey’s Anatomy,” “The Blacklist,” and has a recurring role on ABC’s upcoming “The Black Box.”
