So now we know where James Bond gets it from. In this new clip released from BBC America’s upcoming miniseries biopic “Fleming,” British actor Dominic Cooper channels not the iconic spy, but the man who created him, who appears to be just as smooth and gadget-equipped as his fictional counterpart.
“Fleming: The Man Who Would Be Bond” follows Cooper as Ian Fleming, who went from playboy to war hero in World War II after being recruited to become a spy for the British Naval Intelligence. This clip shows Fleming doing exactly what we’ve seen Bond do so many times, charming a beautiful woman and then playing around with some gadgets – a knockout pen, and a tiny camera, in this case – all in demonstration for his fellow British spies. Who said Bond was unrealistic?!
The first of four installments of “Fleming” premieres on Wednesday night on BBC America. For now, the new clip is below.
