Logan Lerman is enlisting for David Ayer’s WWII tank actioner “Fury”, according to Deadline. Brad Pitt has the lead role, with Shia LaBeouf also on board.
Set in 1945 as the Nazi regime collapses, Pitt plays the Commander of a Sherman tank who leads a five-man crew in a battle against desperate German troops. Lerman plays Norman Ellison, the youngest member of the crew thrust into becoming the tank’s gunner. Filming begins in September.
Last seen opposite Emma Watson in Stephen Chbosky’s adaptation of his own novel “The Perks of Being a Wallflower”, Lerman recently wrapped up a reunion with Watson on Darren Aronofksy’s “Noah”, in which he plays one of Russell Crowe’s sons, and will next be seen in “Stuck in Love” opposite Lily Collins. He also reprises his titular role in sequel “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters”, out in August.
