Ellen Page has found her next role, behind the camera in her directorial debut on the film “Miss Stevens,” and according to Deadline, she’s getting right down to business because Anna Faris is already set to star as the lead.
Written by Julia Hart, the film follows a lost and confused high school teacher (Faris) who signs up to chaperone some students on a weekend trip to a state drama competition. Thanks to the experience, plus a lot of love and support from her students, she learns to value herself again.
Page first rose to fame in “Juno”, which garnered her an Academy Award nomination for best actress, before starring in 2010′s blockbuster film “Inception”. She begins filming “X-Men: Days Of Future Past” this spring and will next be seen in the Sundance film “The East” with Brit Marling and Alexander Skarsgård.
Faris is premiering her ensemble comedy “I Give It A Year” at the 2013 South By Southwest Film Festival and will soon reprise her role in the sequel to “Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs” with costar Bill Hader.
