Anton Yelchin and Diane Kruger will play unlikely romantic partners in indie romantic comedy “5-7″, reports Screen Daily. Victor Levin, who also wrote the script, will direct in February of 2013 in New York. Yelchin will play an aspiring writer who has an affair with Kruger’s character, the wife of a French diplomat.
Yelchin recently wrapped up reprising his role as Chekov in JJ Abrams’ sequel “Star Trek into Darkness” along with fellow “Star Trek” alums Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana and John Cho. He has also completed filming on the titular role in Dean Koontz adaptation “Odd Thomas”, as well as Jim Jarmusch’s vampire romance “Only Lovers Left Alive” opposite Mia Wasikowska and Tom Hiddleston. He is also attached to indies “The Winter Queen” and “Pete and Goat” with Amanda Seyfried.
