Haitian-American actress Meta Golding has been cast in the rather villainous role of Enobaria in “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire”, the dystopian sequel that will see Jennifer Lawrence return as bow-and-arrow toting heroine Katniss Everdeen.
Golding will join fellow newcomers Jena Malone as Johanna and maybe Sam Claflin as Finnick in the sequel that will see Katniss and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) return to the arena for the Quarter Quell, an anniversary edition of the Hunger Games with added twists. In this case, the tributes are made up of past victors. While Katniss gains allies in the forms of Johanna, Finnick, Mags (Lynn Cohen), Wiress (Amanda Plummer) and others, she runs into foes just as ruthless as the Careers she faced in the first film. Golding’s Enobaria, a victor from District 2, is one of them.
Francis Lawrence will direct the sequel, which also sees the return of Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, Lenny Kravitz and more, this fall for a November 23, 2013 release.
Primarily a TV actress, Golding has made the guest rounds on every show from “CSI” to “Dark Blue” to “Criminal Minds” and also recently completed work on three indie films, “The Chicago 8″, “Chrysalis” and “Shadow Witness.”
