Just a day after we reported Emily Browning had joined the cast of  “God Help The Girl” from Belle and Sebastian’s Stuart MudorchBleeding Cool are back with the first set picture.

Caught on location on Buchanan Street in Glasgow, the picture shows Browning during what looks to be mid-song. The film is of course based on songs that Murdoch wrote in 2002 which eventually led to the release of a concept album of the same name. There was a long and exhaustive search for the leads, which we thought had ended back in April when Elle Fanning and Olly Alexander joined the cast as Cass and James. Fanning has since left the project, presumably due to production clashes and Brit actress Hannah Murray has joined.

The film follows a young woman named Eve (Browning) who drops out of college and works a mundane job while dreaming of becoming a singer/songwriter. James accompanies her on guitar, and also mentors a young aspiring guitar player named Cass, who tags along with the duo to their various gigs.
