The CW star Britt Robertson has joined the cast of indie “White Rabbit”, according to Deadline. “True Blood”‘s Sam Trammell and “The Descendants” scene-stealer Nick Krause play father and son in the psychological thriller about a former victim of bullying who seeks revenge.

Written by Anthony Di Pietro and to be directed at the end of July in New Orleans by Tim McKann, “White Rabbit” revolves around an often bullied high school student (Krause), who begins to have visions of a white rabbit he killed when he was nine. “The rabbit, along with other imaginary characters, turn menacing in the hopes of pushing him over the edge and luring him into one last fatal act of revenge.” Robertson will play his girlfriend.

Robertson headlined a pair of teen dramas for The CW network, “Life Unexpected” and more recently “The Secret Circle”, though both were cancelled less than two seasons into their runs. She’ll next be seen opposite Dylan O’Brien in coming-of-age dramedy “The First Time”, which premiered at Sundance last year and which we loved.
