Brit Marling plays daughter to Richard Gere in her third straight Sundance movie, “Arbitrage.” After juggling duties as both star and co-writer of “Another Earth” and “Sound of My Voice”, Marling relaxes a bit here, wearing only the Actress hat in the action thriller directed by Nicholas Jarecki. The first trailer has been released and this certainly looks to be Marling’s biggest, most commercial film yet.

Gere plays a wealthy and successful hedge fun magnate for whom enough just isn’t enough. A Forbes cover star and well on his way to earning even more money, he’s also (of course) hiding a mistress away from his white collar picture perfect family. When he flips his car and she dies, he flees the scene and tries to cover it up. Oh yeah, and he may be lying to some of his company’s investors on the eve of a merger with a major bank, so trouble is really piling up.

“Arbitrage” will be released on VOD and in theaters on September 14th. Watch the first trailer below.
