The boys of “Project X” are taking their success and running with it, as Variety reports that Jonathan Daniel Brown is in negotiations to star in the true crime story, “Kid Cannabis.”
Brown broke out in hit party film “Project X”, his first big comedic lead role, alongside Miles Teller who can next be seen “21 and Over” and Thomas Mann, who is lining up some very important roles, including what could be the next big “Twilight.”
This new role will show Brown playing Idaho native Nate Norman, “who enlisted a crew of his pals to become an elite drug-running team that imported high-quality pot from Canada. As the stakes grow higher, so do the risks, and it’s not long before the Feds come snooping around and his dream scheme turns into a nightmare.”
Based on a Rolling Stone article by Mark Binelli in 2005, the film will be helmed by John Stockwell, who also penned the script, and is set to begin filming this summer in Canada.
