Jessica Biel has landed a role in Francesca Gregorini’s “Emanuel and the Truth About Fishes”, joining Kaya Scodelario., who replaced Rooney Mara earlier this month in the title role.
Variety reports Biel will play Linda, who bares an uncanny resemblance to Emanuel’s dead mother. The film follows Emanuel, a troubled 17-year-old girl who babysits her new neighbor Linda’s “baby,” which is in fact just a life-like doll. Emanuel goes along with the delusion while befriending Linda.
It’s been a busy year for Biel, who can currently be seen in ensemble-flick “New Year’s Eve”. She has just finished production on the “Total Recall” remake with Colin Farrell, and has comedy “Playing the Field” and thriller “The Tall Man” awaiting release.
