Here at Up and Comers, we love a good superhero movie. For some of us, Iron Man will always be our favorite Avenger film, whereas for others, there have been several near arguments over whether Captain America: the First Avenger or Thor was the best superhero film of 2011. But here’s something that will make us all happy – the first full length trailer for Joss Whedon’s highly anticipated The Avengers, the film to finally bring together all our favorite Marvel heroes into one big budget tentpole film.

Starring a whole bunch of our favorite up and coming actors, from Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as hammer-wielding Thor, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and and Tom Hiddleston as bad guy Loki – as well as some of our favorite established actors, with Mark Ruffalo taking on the role of The Incredible Hulk for the first time, and Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man – this is an explosive, fast-paced and witty first trailer, raising our high hopes even higher.

Co-written by Whedon and Zak Penn, this adaptation follows our Avengers who, after several films which nicely weaved together the individual storylines, have finally all been bought together by S.H.I.E.L.D. to help save the world from annihilation.
