Director Steven Soderbergh’s Magic Mike, starring Alex Pettyfer (I Am Number Four) and Channing Tatum (The Eagle), is now filming in Los Angeles. Tatum plays the lead in this comedy based on his own past as a stripper. Magic Mike follows Mike Martingano (Tatum), mentor to a new, young stripper (Pettyfer).

Also joining the exotic dancing scene are Matthew McConaughey, Joe Manganiello, and Matt Bomer. Olivia Munn (I Don’t Know How She Does It) is Amber, Martingano’s love interest.

Soderbergh (Contagion, The Informant!) is also directing upcoming film The Man from U.N.C.L.E., set to begin shooting in February, 2012.
