Though for whatever reason, someone doesn’t want word getting out that newcomer Haley Bennett has been officially chosen as the female lead in Terrence Malick’s new film, pictures say otherwise. Many eyewitnesses, including Bale fan site Baleheads, snagged the pictures (some below) of Christian Bale and Bennett filming on location at the Austin City Lights Music Festival, where they’ve been spotted roaming the grounds and backstage at various performances by a plethora of concert-goers.

There’s no title, much less plot details, to the new film, though the filming locations thus far reasons that it may be music-centric. Should any singing be required of Bennett, it should be no problem for the young actress who many still remember best from her role as pop singer Cora Corman who sang a duet with Hugh Grant in “Music & Lyrics” back in 2007. And while there is a fourteen year age difference between Bale and Bennett (just as all the young actresses vying for the role were similarly aged), their relationship in the film would appear to be romantic based on the photographic evidence thus far.
